Brooklyn, NY
PM Architecture and Rajoy Management partnered as a joint venture to build a cluster of 10 affordable buildings in response to the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development – HPD’s NIHOP & NCP Request for Qualification. The development team was awarded 11 vacant underutilized City-owned lots throughout East New York. The project will utilize long vacant sites in the neighborhood, add to the affordable housing stock and will create family-sized units as well as units for seniors. The buildings will contain approximately 73 affordable rental units, eight of which will be dedicated to the Affordable Independent Residence for Seniors (“AIRS”) program.
All the rental units will be affordable to very-low-income and low-income families and individuals.
Our approach helped to enrich our firm’s mission statement to incorporate green design interventions throughout the project.
